Biography
Dr. Arpita Dasgupta joined this college on April 24, 2010. She completed her M. Phil from Jadavpur University in 2003 and was awarded PhD from Rabindra Bharati University in 2018. Her PhD thesis was entitled "Dalits in Contemporary Indian English Novel: A Study of the Novels of 2008-2013." Her articles have been published in referred, UGC-CARE listed journals of National as well as International Repute. Besides heading the Department of English, Dr. Dasgupta is also serving the institution as IQAC Coordinator at present

Her areas of academic interest are: Indian English Fiction, Modern European Drama, Diaspora Studies and Comparative Literature
